At Greater Missouri, our celebration of the power of women’s leadership extends beyond Women’s History Month. We know that women lead differently and that difference is sorely needed in today’s changing world. Women lead with empathy, focusing on their community and committing to investing in others. They are focused on changing the problems they face first hand.
These skills are embraced by our selection of this year’s honorees for our Women of the Year event. We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate these remarkable women. Each woman is path-breaking in her own right and by joining us for this celebration you will be inspired as we illustrate the transformative power of and unique needs for women’s leadership in Missouri across cultures, sectors and generations.
2020 has laid bare the critical value of leadership at every level; from heads of state to community healthcare workers to multi-talented Moms who have become masters at handling each new and unexpected situation, and the emergence of racial justice activists, we have witnessed remarkable courage and compassion in the face of historic challenge. Global crises have shown us that the solutions we seek already exist, so often being championed by women leaders like those we celebrate.
