GMLC 2017 Challengers enjoyed visiting A.T. Still University and the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health while in Kirksville.

September 13-15 provided vivid memories and amazing instruction for our 2017 Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge class members, with tours of farms, demonstrations of crop harvesting, tours of meat production facilities, opportunities to participate in the lab at A.T. Still University Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health, panels of agricultural students and farming families, presentations about ethanol production and more!

Challengers prepare to learn about hog processing as they begin their tour of Smithfield Foods in Milan, Missouri.              

 

The opportunity to help harvest corn brings to life the value of farming. Yes, that’s one of our 2017 Challengers in the driver’s seat in this big rig!
