Husch Blackwell announced in late 2022 that Ginger Gooch, a partner in the firm’s Springfield office, was appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, by Missouri Governor Mike Parson. Ginger was in the GMLC Class of 2012. This appointment makes two Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge Alumnae on this court as she joins Judge Mary W. Sheffield who was in the GMLC Class of 1991 and was appointed in 2012 and retained at the November 2014 general election.
With her appointment, the seven-member court is comprised of four women and three men, the first majority-female appellate court division in Missouri history.
As a member of the firm’s Healthcare, Life Sciences and Education business unit, Gooch maintained a wide-ranging litigation practice with emphases on employment law and complex commercial litigation for clients in the education, construction, and healthcare industries, among others.
Gooch holds a J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Missouri Law Review. Gooch has been a partner with Husch Blackwell since 2008.
Prior to entering private practice, she clerked for the Honorable Ann Covington of the Supreme Court of Missouri, a 2011 Greater Missouri Woman of the Year. Judge Covington is shown here at our 2022 WOY luncheon in Columbia.
