Happy Summer! July is here, and the Missouri weather is certainly letting us know it.

In just a few short days, Greater MO Alums and supporters will gather in Kansas City for our Alumnae Reunion and Women of the Year events. I’m excited to see everyone there! If your schedule allows you to join us last minute, come on to the reunion on June 16th. Logistics allow us to expand the room as needed. Pre-registration in June ensures adequate food and beverage, but we welcome you to drop in day of if that works. Registration for the Reunion is $100 and can be completed here

Former Executive Directors Jan Grossmann and Gretchen Pettet will be joining us. We’re also excited to welcome previous Women of the Year Alumnae Leaders, current and former board members, and alumnae advisory council members. Our attendees span from as early as 1993 to the current cohort, including women from the unique COVID-affected years of 2020 and 2021. They would love to see you too!

The Class of 2024 had an insightful, thought-provoking Session II in Southwest Missouri from June 19-21. Ask any of them about their unique “pink jeep” networking tour. The group delved into Urban Issues, Diversity & Race Relations, the impact on Urban Renewal & Economic Development, the Nonprofit Community, and Women in Leadership. Thank you to the area GMLC alumnae who helped plan the session, secured sponsorships, and ensured everything went smoothly. Many of them were able to join us for various events and this type of networking enhances the overall experience for our cohort.

Session III kicks off September 18-20 when the group travels to Kirksville and five counties in Northern Missouri.

We are actively recruiting applicants for the Class of 2025. We hope you will share this incredible opportunity with your network. Joining Greater MO offers a transformative and truly unique leadership experience. Katie is happy to meet virtually or in-person with prospective Challengers or organizations interested in supporting their employees’ participation in this program. Applications are due by September 30. We have had waiting lists the last few years so encourage any prospects to take action and apply now!

As a reminder, we love featuring Alumnae in our monthly newsletter and on GMLF social media. Please share your exciting news, whether personal or professional. We want to celebrate you and share the good news. Submit your news here.

I hope you all have a safe and happy July 4th celebration! See you in Kansas City on July 16 & 17.
