Dr. Piyusha Singh, GMLC ‘2017, was recently named as the new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs for Columbia College, following a thorough, nationwide search.  She had served as the interim provost since June.  In her new role, Dr. Singh will be charged with ensuring curricula is consistent throughout the college’s Day, Evening, Adult Higher Education, and Online Education programs, and will oversee Student Affairs efforts.

Piyusha Singh joined Columbia College in June 2015 as VP for Online Education.  In September 2017, she was named as the college’s first Chief of Staff.  Most recently, Dr. Singh has played a crucial role in implementing Columbia College’s Truition (SM) program, which offers text books at no cost while eliminating all fees for the college’s online and adult learners around the world.  She holds bachelor’s degrees in biology and geograhpy from Mount Holyoke College and a PhD in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.  Piyusha is GMLC alumna 2017.  Congratulations!
