During the UnitedWE Working for Change 30th Anniversary event, GMLC Alumna Jennifer Ingraham (Class of 2008) was honored for her dedication as a former board member as she joined other founders and board members as they danced on stage at the iconic Kauffman Center.
The speakers, advocates, founders and those working for change were a part of this celebration with fierce leaders whose work is positively impacting Kansas City and beyond.
GMLF is a participant in many of their projects including the Women’s Economic Development Task Force with three Town Hall meetings still to be held: Oct. 6th in Kansas City, Oct. 14th in Kirksville, and Oct. 28th with a statewide virtual event. You can register and learn more at this link.
GMLF has partnered with their Appointments Project as we encourage our alumnae to register to empower women and strengthen communities by increasing the gender diversity of civic boards and commissions.
The Appointments Project is the only program in the nation that helps facilitate women to get appointed to civic boards and commissions at the city, county and state level.
This research-based, tested and systematic approach has resulted in more than 150 women being appointed to civic boards and commissions. We encourage you to register today (or update your information if you previously registered).
