Many of us have started new routines as the summer has ended. I hope that any life transitions at this time are going smoothly for you and your family.
A noteworthy transition for us is our enhanced Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation website. The new format is meant to keep you engaged with the valuable network you established during your challenge year experience. We encourage you to expand that network by using our new tools.
The login and password you established with the previous website will work on the new site. Log in now and ensure that your profile information is current, including any new title updates, add a new profile picture, and edit any address changes. Take a tour of the new site. You can pay dues and receive a payment statement if you submit for reimbursement, stay up-to-date on events, follow GMLF news and search our new member directory. We appreciate our communications committee and other alumnae who have volunteered to help us with the new site to ensure we are meeting the needs of our most valuable users-our alumnae. We know you will find the site to be a valuable resource and you will be inspired to use it often.
Kudos to all who attended and enjoyed the remarkable time we had at the 2023 Alumnae Reunion and Women of the Year luncheon. It was a great way to celebrate women leaders and reconnect with GMLC alums. Thank you again to our dazzling alumnae who served on the planning committee. Save the dates and add them to your professional development calendar for 2024. Plan to join us in Kansas City on July 16 & 17- for both of these inspirational events. Take it a step further and advocate to your organization to add us to their 2024 non-profit sponsorship calendar! We can help you craft a message to ask for sponsorship support which is vital to keeping us pulsating into the future.
Additional transitions see us welcoming two new board members to the leadership team – Gwyn Schramm (Class of 2015) from St. Louis and Lelia Voss (Class of 2020) from Southwest Missouri. Gwyn serves as the North America Talent Lead for Bayer Crop Science North America. Lelia has been a leader with U.S. Bank for over 23 years and is currently the U.S. Bank Corporate Vice President and Corporate Commercial Relationship Manager. A big thanks to both of these leaders for volunteering their time to advise and guide GMLF! The board will meet for our final meeting of 2023 on October 19 in Kansas City.
A final reminder that the application deadline for the GMLC Class of 2024 is September 30. Reach out to anyone in your network who may be interested in participating. Greater Missouri is the premier organization in the state focused on developing women leaders through the Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge. As you know, the Challenge is a one of a kind experience. We hear time and again how impactful and life changing the Challenge year was. The cohort will be selected at our fall board meeting and acceptance notices will go out in November so that the cohort can make plans for their Challenge experience throughout 2024. Thank you for leaning in and sharing this network with your colleagues.
While spreading the word, share some of your favorite photos captured at the 2023 Alumnae Reunion and Women of the Year events as you continue to support our work.
Happy fall y’all!
