Great news from Greater Missouri! We’re firing on all cylinders as we eagerly anticipate Session IV and the upcoming graduation of the Class of 2023. Once again, we’re set to graduate an exceptional cohort of women leaders, ready to join the Greater MO alumnae community. I’m personally looking forward to celebrating this dynamic group of leaders in St. Louis later this month.
As you engage and connect with us into the new year, I am excited to share that details for the Alumnae Reunion on July 16-17 and the Women of the Year luncheon are falling into place. A very special thanks to Kate Sweeten, Class of 2022, and Clarkson Construction for hosting the Alumnae Reunion in their newly opened Kansas City office in the Crossroads district. We’re thrilled to announce that the Women of the Year luncheon will take place at the Kansas City Current – CPKC stadium. This stadium, currently under construction, will soon be the world’s only stadium dedicated to a women’s professional sport. We believe this venue is a perfect match for our Mission and Vision. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for both of these inspiring events next summer.
Nominations for the 2024 Women of the Year awards are now open and will remain so throughout January 2024. Greater MO celebrates outstanding women leaders in four categories: Civic Leader of the Year, Inspirational Leader of the Year, Community Leader of the Year, and Alumna of the Year. We encourage you to nominate a deserving individual for this prestigious award. You can find more information and submit nominations on the website.
In setting our sights on the end of 2023, I wholeheartedly encourage you to consider supporting Greater Missouri with a financial contribution. Support from our Alumnae is the lifeblood of our Organization, powering our premier women’s professional development programs. Your support allows us to bring invaluable programming to the Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge and ensures that our operations remain top-notch as our logistics, transportation, and hospitality costs continue to climb. Through your donations, you’re giving back to our collective organization, which has undoubtedly provided each alumna with a life-changing experience during their Challenge year. Please join me in supporting Greater MO by making an end-of-year contribution to invest in the sustainability of Greater MO and the resources to continue providing our one-of-a-kind program for another 35 years. We can provide you with a letter of tax-deductibility to report your donation to our non-profit.
Last but not least, this is the time of year when we’re all planning for our end-of-year contributions and memberships. Please ensure Greater MO is in your plans for 2024. Our membership dues program runs annually, January 1 – December 31. Payment of dues not only helps us underwrite our programming but also shows your commitment to our work and provides much-needed funding to continue delivering the Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge as we adapt to and overcome real-time challenges. Continued support from our alumnae is a critical component of ensuring our longevity. Learn more about our giving programs.
Thank you for all you do to support Greater MO and the women leaders around you. Best wishes for a safe, happy, and healthy Thanksgiving holiday!
