Educating and inspiring women leaders to make a difference for over 30 years.

Greetings Greater Missouri Leadership Friends!

Greater Missouri Leadership alumnae have so many great things happening!  We’re pleased to use our newsletter to help showcase all the amazing contributions our alumnae are making within their communities, as well as the honors they are receiving.  This month we have two appointments by Governor Parson in addition to honors received of “Best of the Bar”, “Women Who Mean Business”, “top Diversity Award”, and many more to share with you!

We do need your help!  We are delighted with your very positive response to our first Annual Campaign for Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation (GMLF), already putting our campaign contributions above $10,000 received!   Thanks to GMLC Alumnae from nearly every year who have already reached out with your generous donations to help us meet our mission to educate and inspire women leaders to make a difference!  It’s not too late to contribute, though!  Please join our TRUE LEADER CLUB today!

GMLC Session III takes place this month in the Northeast Missouri communities of Kirksville, Macon, Novelty, and LaPlata, focusing our learning on rural Missouri, agricultural issues, resource managment, and the role of small towns on our economy. Special THANKS to our session planners, led by Debi Boughton ’09, and Carolyn Chrisman ’15!  This year’s class will be visiting a large family farm, learning first-hand about some of the challenges of running a farm business, they’ll hear from President Sue Thomas, the CEO of Truman University, about Missouri’s only public liberal arts university, and they’ll get to meet ag students while at the university farm.

Register NOW for this fall’s GMLC Alumnae Conference on Thursday, October 3 in Kansas City.  This inspiring full-day conference features exceptional, inspiring speakers and the opportunity to connect with other GMLC friends as we learn how to “Activate Our Voice & Take It to the Next Level”.  It’s from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. at Lathrop Gage LLP in KC.  Register online at https://GreaterMo.org/Alumnae-retreat/ or mail us at GMLF, 503 East Nifong, #112, Columbia, MO 65201.  Registration fee of $99 covers the entire day as well as lunch!
