Greetings Greater Missouri Leadership Friends!

There are a lot of fun and inspirational things going on with Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation as we continue to celebrate our 30th Year Anniversary in 2019!  Check out 30th Anniversary info at www.GreaterMo.org/30th.

A huge THANK YOU to Board Member Roz Cochran ’13, Lead Analyst for Risk Management for NeighborWorks America, and Jennifer Ingraham ’08, Vice-President for Development for UMKC Foundation, for serving as co-chairs for an exceptional and successful 2019 Woman of the Year celebration luncheon on May 22 in Kansas City. It was well-attended and sponsored, and helped raise enough “profit” for six scholarships to be offered in the future!

We honored one of Kansas City’s finest women leaders…Jean Peters Baker…as our Woman of the Year!    Jean’s focus as Jackson County Prosecutor has been to make the Kansas City area a safer and better place to live, work, and raise a family.  Special Thanks to our Platinum sponsor, DeBruce Foundation, and to our two Gold sponsors, Cottey College and Saint Luke’s Health System!

Wow!  We are delighted with your very positive response to our first Annual Campaign for Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation (GMLF)!  Alumnae from many different years, including 1991 on up to this year’s class of 2019, have reached out with your very generous donations to help us meet our mission to educate and inspire women leaders to make a difference.  Special, heartfelt thanks to those of you who have generously donated to the campaign, and those who have committed to our True Leader Club already!  Please keep those gifts coming!

Plan now to be included in this fall’s GMLC Alumnae Conference on Thursday, October 3 in Kansas City.  We’ll be providing more information soon about this inspiring full-day conference of exceptional, inspiring speakers and the opportunity to connect with other GMLC friends.  Please save the date!

Our 2019 Challenge class will travel next week to Springfield for Session II of 2019 GMLC, under the leadership of co-chairs Kristy Chastain ’15, of Commerce Bank and Amanda Kastler ’16 of Elliott, Robinson & Company, LLP.  They’ll experience a jam-packed week of inspiring learning!

Please know that your feedback is always welcomed by the GMLF Board of Directors and our executive director!

Kindest Regards,

Kim Becking,
