July 18 and 19 marked the GMLF annual Alumnae Conference and Woman of the Year Award Luncheon, where Greater Missouri women and supporters gathered in St. Louis to reconnect and celebrate inspiring women leaders. At the Alumnae Reunion, Greater MO challengers and alumnae gathered at Heydays HQ for a day of networking and reconnecting with peers, meeting new people, conversations surrounding professional enrichment, and fun! Attendees heard from accomplished author and motivational speaker Keisha Mabry, as well as a panel featuring Dr. Yemi Akande-Bartsch (Class of 2014) and Leslie Gill, moderated by Kathy Lambert.

The next day, the annual Women of The Year Award Luncheon was hosted at the Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta St. Louis. Attendees joined as we celebrated our honorees of prominent leaders in Missouri, who exemplify the definition of a Greater Missouri woman. During the luncheon, we enjoyed inspiring words from our honorary host Maxine Clark, and tribute videos and heartfelt remarks from each of our honorees, and learned more about their leadership journeys. Congratulations to our 2023 Women of The Year award recipients: Sandra M. Moore, Dr. LaTonia Collins Smith, The Honorable Jean Carnahan, and Sara Foster.

Thank you to all who were able to attend and support these events. We truly enjoyed reconnecting with everyone, and celebrating such phenomenal women. We are looking forward to next year’s events that will be held in Kansas City. The 2024 Alumnae Reunion will be on Tuesday, July 16th with our Women of the Year Luncheon to be held on Wednesday, July 17th.  – Please save the dates!
