March is the month-long celebration meant to honor the contributions and impact women have made to our history, society, and culture. How fortuitous that it is also the month for the first session for our Leadership Challenge. Many in our new cohort were able to connect with our alumnae network across the state with events in Springfield, Columbia, St. Louis, and Kansas City.
For too long, women have been overlooked, despite the fact that women’s leadership and accomplishments have been as crucial to the development of our country and our state as any of the Founding Fathers or other men we always hear about.
As many give a little attention to women leaders of the past, we also want to focus on setting up our future leaders for success. We can’t change the past, but when we encourage the women in our Challenge Experience to lead, we CAN build a better future.
