Dr. Kathryn Chval, Dean of the University of Missouri College of Education, was selected and honored as a “Woman of Excellence” in the February 2019 issue of The Columbia Business Times.  In her role at the MU, Kathryn has the opportunity to lead and support a team of 600 faculty, staff and administrators who educate 2,500 students and support 40,000 alumni worldwide.  Kathryn is a 2014 GMLC Alumna.

Dr. Chval was named Dean of the College of Education in July, 2016.  She has led several inclusion and diversity initiatives there, and has a strong national reputation as a researcher.  The MU College of Education is now ranked No. 38 in U.S. News and World Report’s 2018 Best Online Graduate Education Programs.
