Educating and inspiring women leaders to make a difference for over 29 years.

Jackie Goebel, 2018 GMLC Alumna, was one of five individuals inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame on January 26, at her alma mater, Valparaiso University, for her soccer achievements.  Jackie was a mainstay on defense for the Valpo Women’s Soccer Team from 2005 to 2008, earning three-time First Team All-Conference honoree, earning First Team accolades in the Mid-Continent Conference as a freshman and as a sophomore before picking up First Team All-Horizon League honors as a senior.

She was a member of the 2005 side which advanced to the NCAA Tournament.  According to the college, Jackie backboned the defense as it recorded three of the top-five defensive seasons in program history in her final three years.  She started 76 matches over her four-year career, 8th-most in program history.  She also matched a then-program record with four game-winning goals as a junior in 2007 and finished her career with 7 match-winners, tied for 5th-most all-time at Valpo.  She was also a standout in the classroom, named an NSCAA Third Team Scholar All-American as a senior in 2008.

Jackie currently serves as Compensation Analyst II for Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City.  Congratulations Jackie Goebel!
