Congratulations to Dana Strueby, GMLF Board Treasurer and Class of 2018, who was recently honored as the 2024 recipient of the Robert C. Welch Volunteer Attorney Project Award.

The Robert C. Welch Volunteer Attorney Project Award was created in partnership with the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association to recognize attorneys who, through their participation in the Volunteer Attorney Project (VAP), have demonstrated exemplary commitment to pro bono services in the community.

“I enjoy doing pro bono work because it has an immediate and direct impact on the lives of my clients,” said Strueby. “It is truly rewarding when we succeed in a case and are able to accomplish the client’s goals—and to do so without requiring them to pay for legal services.”
