The Willard School District has announced that Dr. Shannon Cuff (Class of 2022) has accepted the appointment as the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning effective July 1, 2023. In this role, Dr. Cuff will assist with the district’s academic programs and initiatives, working closely with students, principals, instructional coaches, and others to ensure academic excellence and continued student success.
Dr. Cuff brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new position. She received her Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Secondary Education and English with a minor in Global Studies from Drury University, her Master’s in Education from Drury University, and her Doctorate of Philosophy in Literacy Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.She taught eleventh grade English in the Willard School District for six years before beginning her doctoral studies.
“I am thrilled to return to the district where my career in education started to once again become a member of the Willard family,” said Dr. Cuff. “I am passionate about teaching and learning and cannot wait to support the great work of our students, staff, and faculty.”
Dr. Cuff’s career in higher education includes serving as a Literacy Education Instructor and Director of the Watson Literacy Center at Park University. She also served as the Dean of the School of Education and Child Development at Drury University before being named the Associate Provost of Adult, Online, and Graduate Education.
