Life moves fast, especially when balancing leadership roles, work responsibilities, and personal commitments. This year I made a commitment to embrace the importance of intentionality—both in my work and in how I care for myself. Leadership isn’t just about what I accomplish but how well I show up for others, and that starts with making time for what grounds me.
I’ve been using the Balance app to calm my mind and breathe, helping me slow down. On my commute, I enjoy the podcast Radical Candor Podcast by Kim Scott. I also find inspiration in Brave New Work Wednesdays Newsletter by The Ready. A book I’ve revisited several times this year is Reality Based Leadership by Cy Wakeman.
And nothing brings me more joy than watching videos of my 2-year-old grandson in Kansas—they always make me smile and remind me of what truly matters.
I challenge each of you to ask, “What small shift can you make today to create space for what matters most?”
