On March 31, 2023 Tia Drake (Class of 2016 and former member of the GMLF Board of Directors) will retire from Washington University School of Medicine (WUSOM) Graduate Medical Education and begin a new era as the Executive Director of the Association of Hospital Medical Education (AHME).  According to Tia “it’s been a 35+ year career at WUSOM and one that I have tremendously loved.”

“God has blessed my life beyond measure, and I cannot find words sufficient enough to express my gratitude for this journey. I will miss working with so many amazing colleagues at Washington University but I am so excited to continue this journey with AHME,  a national Medical Education organization that has been close to my heart for many, many years. I am so excited about the possibilities of my next era in life and I am looking forward to working with leaders across the US who share my passion for medical education. My heart is grateful, and I thank God every day and every time I think about how blessed I am to continue this journey.”
