We asked Traci to give us an update on her work in Iowa:

After becoming a mom for the first time in 2018, I became a volunteer with Moms Demand Action in my new home state of Iowa.  Drawing on my personal experience as a gun owner and my husband’s history working in the industry, I felt compelled to take action on recommending common sense solutions to gun violence.  That’s exactly what I do in my new role as the state chapter lead for Iowa Moms Demand Action.  The organization was started by Shannon Watts, a Missourian and Mizzou grad, when she founded THE LARGEST grassroots organization in 2012 that has grown to include millions of volunteers across the country.
