I hope this message finds each of you flourishing as we embrace the arrival of spring. With Session I of the Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge for the Class of 2024 commencing next week in Columbia, I am filled with anticipation for the journey ahead for our new class members as they embark on a transformative year of personal and professional development.

As we commemorate the start of Women’s History Month, I am deeply honored to serve as the President of the Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation, stewarding our enduring commitment to empower and engage women leaders across our state. Being part of such a resilient community of women leaders is truly uplifting, and I draw inspiration daily from the impactful work each of you contributes. Thank you for championing women leaders within your spheres of influence, for nurturing emerging leaders along their paths, and for remaining actively involved in the Greater MO community. Together, we undeniably make a difference when we unite our efforts.

As the Foundation embarks on the 35th cohort, we remain steadfast in our mission to bolster women’s knowledge of the state and cultivate their individual leadership capacities. To date, over 1,300 women in Missouri have been empowered to become more engaged in their communities and effect positive change through their Challenge experience.

Greater MO continues to play a crucial role in fostering women’s leadership potential across professional, civic, and personal realms. As we advance the mission of our esteemed organization, I invite you to join me in supporting our work by renewing your Greater MO membership today. Alumnae membership dues contribute to the success of each year and are needed now more than ever with the rising costs of expenses.  You can easily pay your dues online via the Greater MO website.

In our commitment to serving alumnae and cohort members, I am delighted to announce the launch of GreaterMO Connect. This career resources platform offers valuable tools such as job opportunities and personal skill assessments. Whether you’re contemplating a career transition, seeking to reaffirm your skills, or exploring new civic engagements, this resource will provide invaluable guidance for your next steps.

I urge you to save the date for July 16th & 17th to join GMLF in Kansas City for our upcoming events. On July 16th, our Alumnae Reunion offers a unique opportunity to experience a mini-Challenge session, reconnect with classmates, and expand your network. Then, on July 17th, we’ll gather at the brand-new CPKC Stadium – home of the Kansas City Current women’s soccer team – to honor our 2024 Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation Women of the Year.

This year is shaping up to be one of momentum and vitality for Greater MO. We’ve already hosted four events in January and February that brought together alumnae and members of the Class of 2024, fostering meaningful connections. I eagerly anticipate seeing you at an upcoming luncheon, session, or other Greater MO event.
