As we step into September, I’m filled with gratitude for the incredible strides we’ve made together this year. Your dedication and passion are the lifeblood of our organization, fueling our mission to empower women leaders across Missouri. Thank you for continuing on this path with us.
Exciting opportunities lie ahead! The deadline for the Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge Class of 2025 is September 30th. This program is a gateway for women leaders to grow, connect, and make a meaningful impact. If you know another who is ready to undertake this journey, I urge you to reach out to them and encourage them to apply today.
Mark your calendars for July 23rd and 24th, 2025, when we’ll gather in Southwest Missouri for our Women of the Year Luncheon in Springfield followed by our Alumnae Reunion in Branson. Note that we are switching up the events next year so that the enthusiasm generated by the WOY Luncheon carries into the reunion and new professional development activities. These events are the pinnacle of our year, where we honor extraordinary women and celebrate the bonds that unite us. Make plans to join us and be watching as we announce exciting partnerships for you to enjoy.
I’m thrilled to announce the Class of 2020 as the winner of our friendly competition to bring the most attendees to the 2024 Alumnae Reunion. What a great trip to Kansas City to share this time together. The tour of the KC Current stadium was definitely the highlight for me. It was great to hear about all the unique features that went in to designing a stadium built for women.
This class competition enthusiasm is contagious, and we’re also crowning the class that secured the most membership dues for 2024. IT’S A THREE WAY TIE! On the podium for the gold medal are the Classes of 2018, 2022, and 2023! Congratulations to those alumnae. A reminder that there IS still time in 2024 to pay membership dues and get your 2024 lapel pin.
As we near the end of the year, our focus is on nurturing the Class of 2024—our 35th cohort. This milestone speaks to our enduring commitment to women’s leadership. The class is halfway through their leadership challenge year and will be meeting in north Missouri later this month and in St. Louis in November. Your continued support through membership is vital to sustaining our mission and continuing to support the next generation of women leaders. Thank you for keeping your membership current. Special thanks to our new lifetime members: Kim Becking, Dr. Lisa Hall, and Rosalind Cochran,
Let’s keep the momentum going. Stay engaged, attend events volunteer on one of our committees, renew your membership, or spread the word. Together, we are building a brighter future and making lasting change.
Thank you for being an essential part of our community. I’m excited about what we’ll achieve together in the remaining months of 2024.
